New Swabia

Numerous German-speaking communities existed all over the former Austro-Hungarian empire. Many such regions had a predominantly German population. In this scenario, the region between the Danube and Drava rivers surrounding Pécs, inhabited by Danube Swabians (Donauschwaben), known colloquially as Swabian Turkey (Schwäbische Türkei), is created into an exclave of the First Austrian Republic after the conclusion of WW1. The capital is Pécs with the German counterpart of the name, Fünfkirchen, adopted. Ground access is via the Drava river. The coat of arms is adopted from Hungary's Baranya County, which the area roughly corresponds to, and the flag colours being adapted from it.
